Bob was a true pioneer in the merger arbitrage business, a wonderful teacher and an inspirational leader. We will miss him dearly.

Bob was a man of vision, passion and compassion who lived for teamwork and camaraderie. His legacy will live on through the close-knit, outstanding team of seasoned professionals he mentored at Alpine Associates.

Robert E. Zoellner, Jr

Chief Executive Officer & Co-Chief Investment Officer (33 years at Alpine)

Robert Zoellner, Jr. joined Alpine in 1983 and is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Chief Investment Officer. He specializes in merger arbitrage and long/short equity trading. In addition, he is a director and a member of the risk management committee. He has been a portfolio manager since 1993 and was previously a trader at Alpine. He began his career as a specialist clerk with Lasker, Stone and Stern in 1983. Mr. Zoellner earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Colorado.

Michael Tenebruso

Co-Chief Investment Officer (16 years at Alpine)

Michael Tenebruso joined Alpine in 2000 and is the Co-Chief Investment Officer. He specializes in merger arbitrage and long/short equity trading. In addition, he is a director and a member of the risk management committee. Previously, he was a senior trader and portfolio manager at Alpine. Prior to Alpine, he was a financial analyst at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Mr. Tenebruso earned a B.A.S.F. in Finance from The College of New Jersey, where he played four years of varsity baseball and was voted team captain by his peers for his senior year.

Brian T. Donahue

Portfolio Manager (24 years at Alpine)

Brian Donahue joined Alpine in 1992 and is a Portfolio Manager. He specializes in convertible arbitrage. He has served in that position since 1997, following five years as a credit and options analyst at Alpine. Previously, he was a credit analyst at United Jersey Bank. Mr. Donahue earned a B.A. in Economics from Stockton College and an M.B.A. from Rutgers University Graduate School of Management.

Todd J. Mason

Chief Operating Officer & Chief Compliance Officer (30 years at Alpine)

Todd Mason joined Alpine in 1986 and is the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. In addition, he is a member of the risk management committee. He has also been a senior research analyst at Alpine. Previously, he was a corporate securities attorney at Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP. Mr. Mason graduated from Cornell University and Harvard Law School.

Henry J. Cauceglia

Senior Research Analyst (13 years at Alpine)

Henry Cauceglia joined Alpine in 2004 and is a Senior Research Analyst. He specializes in merger arbitrage and long/short equity trading and in analysis of arbitrage dislocations and downside capital management. Previously, he was a financial consultant for 21 years at Smith Barney and UBS Financial. Mr. Cauceglia earned a B.S. in Marketing from Fairleigh Dickenson University.

Judey A. Delgado

Senior Research Analyst (17 years at Alpine)

Judey Delgado joined Alpine in 1999 and is a Senior Research Analyst. She specializes in merger arbitrage with a focus on legal, financing and proxy issues, including antitrust and merger contract terms. Ms. Delgado earned a B.S. in Business Management /Specialization in Finance from Dominican College (cum laude).

Brad Cohen

Senior Research Analyst (8 years at Alpine)

Brad Cohen joined Alpine in 2008 and is a Senior Research Analyst. He specializes in merger arbitrage, with a focus on antitrust and regulatory matters. Mr. Cohen earned a B.S. in Finance from Syracuse University.

Pascal Charbonneau, CFA

Senior Trader & Option Strategist (8 years at Alpine)

Pascal Charbonneau joined Alpine in 2008 and is a Senior Trader and Option Strategist. He focuses on merger arbitrage and on equity and derivative trading and strategies. Previously, he held various positions at Electronic Brokerage Systems. Mr. Charbonneau holds a B.Sc. from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (summa cum laude) and is a CFA charterholder. In chess, Pascal holds the highest title of International Grandmaster and won the Canadian championship twice.

Robert Boiardi

Senior Trader (22 years at Alpine)

Robert Boiardi joined Alpine in 1994 and is a Senior Trader, specializing in merger arbitrage. Mr. Boiardi earned a B.A. in International Relations with a minor in Government from Lehigh University.

Eric K. Dubowsky, CFA

Senior Trader (10 years at Alpine)

Eric Dubowsky joined Alpine in 2007 and is a Senior Trader. He focuses on merger arbitrage, equity and derivative trading, and other strategies. Previously, he was a senior credit analyst in Alpine’s convertible arbitrage strategy. Prior to Alpine, he was a fixed income trader at Midwood Securities. Mr. Dubowsky holds a B.A. in Statistics and B.A. in Economics from the University of Rochester and is a CFA Charterholder. He is also a member of the New York Society of Securities Analysts.
