Robert E. Zoellner, Jr.

Chief Executive Officer & Chief Investment Officer

Robert Zoellner, Jr. joined Alpine in 1983 and is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer. He specializes in merger arbitrage and equity trading. In addition, he is a director and a member of the risk management committee. He has been a portfolio manager since 1993 and was previously a trader at Alpine. He began his career as a specialist clerk with Lasker, Stone and Stern in 1983. Mr. Zoellner earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Colorado.

Todd J. Mason

Chief Operating Officer & Co-Chief Compliance Officer

Todd Mason joined Alpine in 1986 and is the Chief Operating Officer and Co-Chief Compliance Officer. In addition, he is a member of the risk management committee. He has also been a senior research analyst at Alpine. Previously, he was a corporate securities attorney at Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP. Mr. Mason graduated from Cornell University and Harvard Law School.

Henry J. Cauceglia

Director of Research & Chief Risk Officer

Henry Cauceglia joined Alpine in 2004 and is the Director of Research and Chief Risk Officer. He specializes in merger arbitrage and equity trading and in analysis of arbitrage dislocations and downside capital management. Previously, he was a financial consultant for 21 years at Smith Barney and UBS Financial. Mr. Cauceglia earned a B.S. in Marketing from Fairleigh Dickenson University.

Judey A. Delgado

Senior Research Analyst

Judey Delgado joined Alpine in 1999 and is a Senior Research Analyst. She specializes in merger arbitrage with a focus on legal, financing and proxy issues, including antitrust and merger contract terms. Ms. Delgado earned a B.S. in Business Management /Specialization in Finance from Dominican College (cum laude).

Brad Cohen

Portfolio Manager & Senior Research Analyst

Brad Cohen joined Alpine in 2008 and is a Portfolio Manager and Senior Research Analyst. He specializes in merger arbitrage, with a focus on antitrust and regulatory matters and on non-U.S. and cross border transactions. Mr. Cohen earned a B.S. in Finance from Syracuse University.

Robert Boiardi

Senior Trader

Robert Boiardi joined Alpine in 1994 and is a Senior Trader, specializing in merger arbitrage. Mr. Boiardi earned a B.A. in International Relations with a minor in Government from Lehigh University.

Gary Moorman

Trader

Gary Moorman rejoined Alpine in 2023 and is a Trader. He specializes in merger arbitrage. Mr. Moorman previously worked at Alpine from 2000 through 2017 in other areas of our business. Mr. Moorman earned a B.A. in Mathematics from Houghton College and an M.B.A. in Finance from Columbia Business School.
